Mars is a handsome Chow rescued from a shelter after he was found as a stray. Heis a sweet and playful boy who can be a bit reactive when it comes to treats and food, but will be a good boy with some training. He can be a bit nippy and mouthy when playing so would likely do best in a home without very young children. Please be cautious with me when opening doors as he is an escape artist. I does not seem to know basic commands yet, but is a very intelligent dog who is eager to learn with the right owner. Since he was found as a stray, so it is unknown how he would do in a home with another pooch. It is unknown how he would do with cats or children. We are also a sanctuary for those dogs that don’t get adopted, including a Senior Dog Rescue Program which provides food, shelter, and medical care for elderly dogs in the animal shelter that because of age and medical issues are least likely to be adopted.
