Notes: Paca, is a shy, sweet Chow that was rescued after his owner passed away. Paca was out on his own for two months in very hot weather. Thankfully someone down the street noticed him on his own and gave him food/water daily. After being scared and on his own, his fur became matted and needed to be shaved. CARL volunteers are working on getting to know his likes/dislikes and helping him with leash training. He is slowly learning to trust and come out of his shell. He loves to be scratched on the head. He is happy to explore his new world when he goes out on his regular walking route. He has not been reactive to other dogs. He is shy of strangers. If you think you can give her the home environment she needs to thrive, please fill out an online application via the Adoption Information link below.

Canine Adoption and Rescue League is an IRS 501(c)(3) Private Non-Profit No-Kill Organization. We rely on donations and do not receive government, state, or city funding. We operate almost entirely by volunteers. Since 1996, Canine Adoption and Rescue League has rescued and placed thousands of unwanted, sick, abandoned, and homeless dogs. Dogs in our adoption program are placed in pre-screened, loving and secure homes. We make a lifetime commitment to all of our dogs. We are also a sanctuary for those dogs that don’t get adopted, including a Senior Dog Rescue Program which provides food, shelter, and medical care for elderly dogs in the animal shelter that because of age and medical issues are least likely to be adopted.
